Better

Back in May, I wrote a post criticizing the cost and the appearance of the performing arts center that’s being built in downtown Fayetteville. The price-tag is currently $131 million, and the façade left a lot to be desired:

When you throw in the fact that one of the construction companies on the project also built our county jail, it looked as if we were in for a big disappointment, or at least a little bang for a lot of tax bucks.

This week, we got an update on the project, and it’s starting to look like a building with some character:

Light up the walls at night, and you’ve got a welcome addition to downtown. Plus, Trump will love the gold if he ever makes it out this way.

In the end, it’s better than a jail.
